This catalogue was created for the 2016 graduates of NSCAD university. During this time I worked with over 100 students, various NSCAD faculties, printing companies and many more.
The tactility of this catalogue cover was created to allow students to recall these unique emotions and reflect on their time here. The engagement we have with the material we work with is integral to the direction of our artistic process. It is this touch that will guide us through the hidden obstacles and uncertainty of our future beyond graduation.

Author Leanne Brown wrote and compiled affordable, healthy recipes based on a $4 per day budget. I designed this publication using supplied text and images of each recipe.
Leanne believed that vegetables should be the base of every meal. To convey this idea, I photographed vegetables and arranged them in a way to suggest the beginning stages of cooking a healthy and delicious meal.

Canada 150 Art Jewellery Show
POSTERS • DIGITAL & PRINT ADS • CATALOGUE • INVITATION
Ho Ching Chan, Clarissa Long and myself, curated an exhibition for Canadian jewellers to help promote and sell their work. This was a completely self-driven project. We took care of all stages, from formulating the call for entry, to promotion and installing the work.
The show celebrates Canada 150, therefore for all the promo material, I used a typeface named slate which was designed by a prominent Canadian type designer Rod McDonald. The use of red was a simple and efficient way to connect to Canadian identity.

Artist for a Day 2017

//RESPONSIVE is a traveling light art festival presented by Anna Leonowens Gallery, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, and Dalhousie Art Gallery. I designed various promotional materials for this public installation. With art being the focus, I made the type integrate seamlessly with the images of the artists’ work. I used electric blue as an accent colour, as it was present in many of the art works in the exhibition. This blue also subtly links to the oceanside locale of Halifax.

POSTER DESIGN • ORGANIZER
I organized and participated in a day workshop where instructor Paula Washington shared insights into how strategy functions and links with design.
BROCHURE • PHOTOGRAPHY
Photographed Emma Piirtoniemi’s acrylic jewellery work then designed a brochure holding those images. The staggered folding links with her concept with how her jewellery reveals layers of intimate detail when worn and touched

ORGANIZER • CATALOGUE DESIGN • PRINT LIAISON
Overview In my final semester at NSCAD University, my design class of 19 people put an exhibition together presenting our thesis work.
I contributed in many different aspects, including liaising with our sponsoring companies, helping with delegating tasks, problem solving and liaising with my fellow designers.
Catalogue and Printing Liaison I lead the catalogue team of three people in organizing and designing this publication. The catalogue held the thesis work of each graduating student.
I was the sole contact with The Printing House. I made sure all files were formatted properly before I sent them to the printer and took care of any issues that arose.
Jewellery Portfolio 2016
CATALOGUE DESIGN • PHOTOGRAPHER
Photographed jeweller Muxing Zhou’s body of work and then designed a portfolio using these images. Spot varnish was used on the red flyleaf to highlight a pattern found in her works, connecting to her Chinese culture.
Magazine Cover Design 2016
I re-created the cover of an existing magazine called AFAR. I changed the target audience from upper middle class individuals to young, risk-taking athletic males. The re-designed cover on the left uses the same image as the original cover with some manipulation.
